Yep. We love alliteration around here!

And … we have good news. We have an official opening date. And, we are 98% sure that we will be able to open on that date. And we really have no choice. We have an author event scheduled for the evening. Drum roll, please!

Mysterious Galaxy Redondo Beach will
open its doors on September 13, 2011 at 10am

We have lots of fun activities scheduled for the day and we will fill in the details later this week! Prior to opening, we have invited the press to preview the store on September 12 … so this coming week is going to be a busy one … getting ready to open the store!

As previously mentioned, our first author appearance and signing will be also take place on September 13. We are excited that Denise Hamilton will be a part of opening day with her latest book, Damage Control which will be published on September 6. Please come and meet Denise and hear about her latest book beginning at 7:30pm in our new event space.

And afterwards, we will have cake … because it turns out that this day is also my birthday! So please come celebrate all of these events with us!

In the meantime, stock has begun to arrive and we are slowly figuring out where everything goes. The first day for the majority of our staff is Tuesday, September 6. Nicole and LeAnna have a full day of training planned and I know that it will include stocking the store as we believe that the majority of our stock will arrive next week. I am looking forward to meeting our new staff and seeing the store come together.

So, yes we’re tired, but our goal of sharing our new store with new customers is becoming a reality and we are very excited.
